Egmont Group | SAMIFIN Membership Process

SAMIFIN's sponsors presented the evaluation report for Madagascar's membership application at the Egmont Group's Working and Regional Meeting, held from January 26 to 30, 2026, in Arusha, Tanzania.

The MSCWG (Membership, Support and Compliance Working Group) concluded that SAMIFIN – FIU Madagascar – has met the key membership criteria, particularly regarding independence, legal framework, and operational capacity.

• The final step in the membership process is validation by the Plenary Assembly, scheduled for July 2026.
