INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION ON FINANCIAL SECURITY IN RUSSIA
Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba (hereinafter - RUDN University) presents its compliments and has the honor to inform you that, under the auspices of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the International Olympiad on Financial Security (hereinafter - Olympiad) has been held annually since 2021.
The purpose ofthe Olympiad is to introduce talented young people to current trends in the field of financial security, identify key areas for the development of science and technology in this sphere, and provide participants with an opportunity to determine their future career paths.
Due to the growing international interest in the Olympiad, the number of participating countries has expanded significantly. As a result, students from more than 40 countries took part in the 2025 Olympiad. 600 participants successfully advanced to the final stage and took part in it. The final was held at Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk, Russian Federation.
The Olympiad will be conducted in four fields: Jurisprudence, International Relations, Economies, and Information Security, and will consist of several stages.
Online stages:
• Invitation stage: (from February 2 to Mareh 10);
• Two rounds of the Eliminatory stage (Round 1: March 16-17; Round 2: April 20-21);
• Qualifying stage (from June 1 to June 19).
The final stage (September 2026) will be held in offline format at Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk. All expenses of the Olympiad finalists and accompanying persons (airfare, accommodation, meals, and cultural program) will be covered by the host party.
In addition to individual subject-based tasks, the final stage program includes meetings with experts, workshops, panel discussions, excursions, sports and cultural events, a concert program, as well as the Festival "Olympiad in Colors". The Festival has established itself as an intercultural communication platform aimed at demonstrating the importance of cultural diversity, the principles of mutual respect, and the strengthening of friendly relations among the participating countries. In
2026, the Festival will once again create conditions for the development of informal intercultural communication, the exchange of cultural experience, and the strengthening of mutual understanding among participants.
The winners of the Olympiad will be granted the opportunity to study free of charge at one of the Russian universities, while prize winners will receive a 50% tuition discount. In addition, winners and prize winners will be able to undertake internships at the Federal Financial Monitoring Service of the Russian Federation and other organizations.
RUDN University is pleased to invite interested students to take part in this significant event and kindly requests your assistance in disseminating this information (Appendix No. 1) among those who may be interested in participating in the Olympiad.
We would also appreciate it if, by the end of February, you could provide us with the contact details of representatives of your university who will act as coordinators for students from your countries and will be invited to the final stage with expenses for airfare, accommodation, and other costs covered.
